The 52nd EASD Annual Meeting will take place from 12 to 16 September 2016 at the Messe München, Germany and promises to offer outstanding new insights into the most recent research findings and health care in diabetology.
Saving the Diabetic foot is one of the major themes in many countries, building on the high prevalence of Diabetes worldwide. The goal for persons with Diabetes is to prevent localized high plantar pressures and to create a better pressure distribution under the foot. novel’s emed® platform measurement system has proven to be the most accurate pedography system in foot diagnostics and its outcomes are used to select the appropriate footwear and construct shoe inserts. In addition, our pedar® in-shoe measurement system provides detailed and accurate information on foot function as well as the functions of shoe and shoe insert; it is able to measure and quantify pressure relief from inserts in modified shoes. Our emed® and pedar® system are therefore the ideal combination to diagnose the foot and to monitor the function of footwear in order to prevent Diabetic ulceration and amputation.
